About
Minnow Lake Provincial Recreation Area is located 20 km east of Edson on Hwy. 16 and 20 km south on Wolf Lake Road, Alberta. It features a small first-come, first-served campground in a grassy field with surrounding trees next to a small lake. A separate group use area with a shelter is available. Activities include camping, canoeing/kayaking, and fishing. Power boating is not currently possible due to low water levels and the boat launch closure. Hand launching small boats, kayaks, and canoes should be done cautiously due to damaged cement pads on the boat launch, effective April 1, 2024.
