About
Cardinal River Campground is located on the Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation’s Cardinal River Reserve in Alberta. Built in 2020, the site features 21 campsites, with 14 available on a first-come, first-served basis and seven available for reservation. Facilities include two toilets, though there is no day-use area. ATV and OHV use is permitted, and the area provides access to nearby ATV trails and fishing in the Cardinal River. The nightly fee is $20, with an additional $10 reservation fee. Access is available via Cardinal River Road, off Highway 734 or Pembina River Road. Reservations are recommended but not required.
