About
Windermere Lake Provincial Park is located 10 kilometres south of Invermere, British Columbia, on Westside Road. Established as a Class A park in 1999, the area protects native grassland and riparian habitats along the western shores of Windermere Lake. The park serves as a winter range for populations of white-tail deer, mule deer, and elk. According to official BC Parks records, this park contains no developed areas or facilities, and there is no public access provided. Overnight use and open fires are not permitted within the park boundaries. The discharge and carrying of firearms are permitted for hunting purposes during the designated open season, subject to BC Government Hunting and Trapping Regulations.
