About
Gordon Bay Provincial Park Campground is a provincial campground located on the shores of Lake Cowichan, 35 km northwest of Duncan on southern Vancouver Island. Accessed via Hwy #18, it is set in a second-growth Douglas-fir forest. Activities include hiking on short in-park trails, swimming in Cowichan Lake's warm waters from a sandy beach, and canoeing or kayaking using the boat launch. Freshwater fishing is popular in spring, fall, and winter for rainbow, cutthroat, and Dolly Varden trout. Waterskiing and windsurfing are also enjoyed on the lake. Pets must be leashed and are not permitted on beaches.
