Amogla camp

Private campground in Ontario, Canada.

About

Amogla Camp is a private campground in Ontario. The current owners acquired the camp in late 1979, with operations starting in summer 1981. It initially had 8 cottages for rent, none with indoor plumbing. Between 1982 and 1986, new cottages were constructed, some with indoor plumbing, and others featuring hand-split cedar shingles. The cottages were completed and rented out sequentially from 1983 to 1986. The property previously had a wooden bridge connecting a cottage over a ravine, which was closed to vehicles in 2006. Some original asphalt shingle roofs were replaced with galvanized steel. The camp closed to tourists in 2006.
