About

Medicine Lake Provincial Recreation Area is a provincial campground located 47 km north of Rocky Mountain House on Highway 22, then 8 km or 12 km southeast on a gravel access road. The campground offers sites surrounded by trees for privacy, with some located next to the lake. A separate Medicine Lake Group site provides a private area with its own boat launch and nine campsites, which can accommodate additional units. Permitted activities include camping, canoeing/kayaking, fishing, power boating (12 km/h speed limit), and horseshoes. OHV riding and snowmobiling are permitted off-site or on the lake only, with specific unloading restrictions.
