About
Strachan Provincial Recreation Area is a provincial campground located 31 km southwest of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, along Highway 752. Situated along Prairie Creek, the park provides opportunities for picnics, fishing, and overnight camping. A Group Use Area is also available. Campers should bring firewood, drinking water, and a map as no services are provided and cell phone reception is limited. While off-highway vehicle (OHV) trails are nearby, off-loading or operating OHVs inside the park is prohibited. Fishing opportunities include trout and mountain whitefish.
