Strachan Provincial Recreation Area is a provincial campground located 31 km southwest of Rocky Mountain House on Highway 752, along Prairie Creek. This park offers overnight camping, group use, and day use opportunities. Visitors can engage in picnics and fishing for trout and mountain whitefish. Campers should bring firewood and drinking water as no services are available, and cell reception is limited. Off-highway vehicle (OHV) riding and snowmobiling are permitted off-site, with OHVs prohibited within the park itself. Maps and guides are available for the campground.
