About
Parc national des Pingualuit is a provincial park in Kangiqsujuaq, Quebec. It features a meteoritic crater with a 3.4 km diameter, estimated to be around 1.4 million years old. The crater holds exceptionally clear, bluish lake waters. The park was officially inaugurated on November 30, 2007. Known by the Inuit as "nunavingmi pikkuminartuq," meaning a remarkable place to rejuvenate, this location in the tundra supports ecosystem observation on foot or skis. The campground has 5 sites on file, including tent sites and cabins. The season runs from July to August.
