About
Blackstone Provincial Recreation Area is located 30 kilometers north of Nordegg, Alberta, along the Chungo Road off Highway 734. The site features a campground and a group use area situated along the banks of the Blackstone River. Recreational opportunities include fishing, canoeing, and kayaking, with river access available from the lower campground area. On-site facilities include fire pits, a cookhouse shelter, and a vault toilet. The campground provides 24 sites suitable for tents and RVs and operates from May through October. Off-site activities in the vicinity include OHV riding and snowmobiling, though off-loading and travel within the campground are prohibited. The facility is operated by Westward Bound Campgrounds.
