Valhalla Provincial Park, near New Denver, British Columbia, offers backcountry adventures within the Selkirk Mountains. The park is accessible by water, forest industrial roads, or trail, located on the west shore of Slocan Lake. Visitors can enjoy hiking, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. Camp in designated sites along the Slocan Lake beaches. Pets are allowed on Slocan lakefront sites, the Slocan to Evans Beach Trail, and the trail to Cahill and Beatrice lakes, but must be leashed. Special notes advise checking for wildfire closures along Slocan Lake. The park was designated on March 3, 1983.
