Mesa Butte Provincial Recreation Area is a provincial campground located 20 km west of Millarville, Alberta, on Hwy. 549 and northwest on Range Road 50A, or 27 km south of Bragg Creek on Hwy. 762 and 7 km west on Hwy. 549. It offers a seasonal equestrian option, with hitching rails, corrals, and a loading ramp available for registered campers at the equestrian campground or equestrian group camping area. The area supports hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding on developed equestrian trails. Activities such as geocaching, electric bicycles, and fishing are also permitted. A Kananaskis Conservation Pass is required for vehicle parking.
