About
Stamp River Provincial Park is located northwest of Port Alberni on central Vancouver Island, British Columbia. This provincial park features frontcountry camping. Domestic animals must be on a leash. The park offers hiking trails, including a 0.5 km trail to the fish ladder and waterfall, 2 km of interlinked trails in the southern portion, and a 7.5 km trail upstream of the camping area. Fishing is allowed in designated portions of the Stamp River, but regulations should be checked. Wildlife viewing opportunities include salmon runs from late August into December, which also attract black bears. Bicycles are restricted to roadways.
