About
Highwood Provincial Recreation Area is located 37 km southwest of Longview on Highway 541, at the eastern edge of Kananaskis, and provides access to the Highwood River. A Kananaskis Conservation Pass is required for vehicle parking. The park includes a day use area for fishing and picnicking, and groups can reserve a group camping area for overnight use. It is operated by Kananaskis Campground Services Inc. Permitted activities may vary within the park.
