Highwood Provincial Recreation Area is located 37 km southwest of Longview, Alberta, on Highway 541, at the eastern edge of Kananaskis. A Kananaskis Conservation Pass is required for vehicle parking. The facility provides access to the Highwood River and includes a day use area for activities like fishing and picnicking. A group camping area is available for overnight camping. The park is managed by facility operator Kananaskis Campground Services Inc. Permitted activities may vary.
