About
Prairie Creek Provincial Recreation Area is a provincial campground located 41 km southwest of Rocky Mountain House on Highway 752. The recreation area is surrounded by trees and accessible via a paved highway. Activities permitted in the area include camping, fishing for trout and mountain whitefish, and front-country hiking. OHV riding and snowmobiling are permitted on informal trails in the vicinity, but off-loading or operating OHVs inside the park is strictly prohibited. OHVs must remain on trailers until they reach nearby trail systems and staging areas.
