About
Rochon Sands Provincial Park Campground is located on the south shore of Buffalo Lake, 12 km west of Stettler on Hwy. 12 and 16 km north on Hwy. 835. It is operated by the Summer Village of Rochon Sands. The park features a sandy beach and provides opportunities for swimming, boating, canoeing, and fishing. Services can be found nearby in the village of Rochan, including a concession stand with ice cream and a playground. The area is noted for bird watching, with various species nesting in its shallow bays. Activities include camping, hiking, power boating, sailing, and wildlife viewing. Access to the park is closed from mid-October to early May.
