Stone Mountain Provincial Park is located at the 595 km mark of the Alaska Highway, approximately 140 km west of Fort Nelson, British Columbia. The park features 28 sites suitable for tents and RVs, including access to water hookups. Operating from May to September, this provincial campground serves as a base for frontcountry hiking, including trails like the Erosion Pillars Trail, Summit Peak Trail, and Flower Springs Trail. The area also offers opportunities for canoeing and kayaking on Summit Lake. Camping fees at the park must be paid in cash, as credit and debit cards are not accepted. Visitors are advised to prepare for rapidly changing weather conditions and the presence of wildlife.
