About
Main Lake Provincial Park on Quadra Island offers wilderness camping opportunities. The park encompasses six lakes, including Main Lake, Village Bay Lake, and Mine Lake, which are connected by shallow marshes. Other lakes can be reached via user-created portage routes. Backcountry camping is permitted in designated sites only, with fees collected from May 15 to September 15. Registration is online only and available two weeks in advance. Potable water is not available; surface water must be boiled, filtered, or treated. Activities include canoeing, kayaking, hiking, and swimming. Pets must be on a leash.
