About
Pirates Cove Marine Provincial Park is located on De Courcy Island, off Nanaimo, British Columbia. This marine park is accessible by boat only. The park offers two dinghy docks and a sheltered anchorage. Camping is available in the park, with the present campground overlying a shell midden. Fires are not permitted in the park or on the beach at any time. Visitors should bring a portable stove for cooking. The park also features 5 km of easy hiking trails, including the Brother XII Trail, Darkwoods Trail, and Pylades Trail. Swimming occurs on the sandy south beach, though no designated area exists. Pets must be on a leash and are not allowed in beach areas.
