Cape Scott Provincial Park is located at the northwestern tip of Vancouver Island, 64 kilometres west of Port Hardy, British Columbia. This wilderness park is a hike-in destination featuring rugged coastal terrain, including sandy beaches, rainforests, and bogs. Visitors can explore the area via hiking trails, with Nels Bight serving as a popular camping destination. The park offers backcountry camping opportunities, and visitors are advised that water sources are limited. The park is open for use from May to September. Access requires driving on gravel logging roads from Port Hardy. Due to the presence of bears and wolves, campers should secure all food and stay within developed campsite areas.
